A Portfolio approach to teaching and learning positions the portfolio as a central pillar of the curriculum, where it provides pedagogical opportunity for:

  • Improving reflective practice
  • Evidencing clinical skills and attributes
  • Supporting authentic assessment
  • Strengthening connections with industry
  • Embedding employability

An integrated and ongoing portfolio enables students to document and articulate their learning journey as an emerging professional and then provides opportunities for making connections between learning content and their future career role, duties and responsibilities.

This collection of exemplars shows how PebblePad can be used to support a portfolio-based teaching and learning approach in Engineering programs.  Examples are provided by the University of Tasmania, RMIT University, and Griffith University.
